A Petition for Change!
Featuring Shelane Etchison, Army combat veteran and Congressional candidate.
“One more thing about the petition. We would have never been successful if the electorate didn't want it. So there was a message being sent with every single signature with the voters here in this district that clearly they are unhappy with the political environment or lack of results that they're getting from Congress. Otherwise, they wouldn't have signed. ” -Shelane Etchison

In our latest episode, we're joined by Shelane Etchison, an Army combat veteran and independent candidate for North Carolina's 9th Congressional District. She has a fascinating background and to call her resume impressive would be an understatement. She is the embodiment of breaking barriers, especially for women in the United States military. You can hear all about her background in the episode at the links below or wherever you get your podcasts.
Shelane has been breaking barriers her entire life, and this campaign is no different. She’s the first person to ever qualify for the general election ballot for Congress in North Carolina as an independent. We’re convinced she’s fighting for all the right reasons, and that she’s on the right side of history on all the important issues of the day, so we jumped at the chance to have her on the show.
