Greetings & Summer Update!
A quick update and what's next.
Friends,
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far! I thought I'd take a quick moment to say hi and share some updates.
First, thank you again to everyone who supported our judicial slate in 2024. We were blown away by the support for our state-wide judicial candidates. You better believe we plan to do that again for 2026! The candidates genuinely appreciated it, and as we saw in the nail-biter election of Justice Allison Riggs, every dollar mattered!
Next, while we've enjoyed some time away from daily political engagement to recharge, Carolina Democracy will definitely be back for the 2026 cycle with a focus on electing judges committed to protecting our democracy.
While it will likely be a few months before we pick back up, there's no time like the present to help several of our incumbent judges who have already announced they’re seeking reelection:
Anita Earls - Associate Justice, NC Supreme Court
John Arrowood - Judge, NC Court of Appeals
Toby Hampson - Judge, NC Court of Appeals
And on a personal note, for those looking to make a difference in the world outside of politics, there are many great causes right now. One I choose to support is the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through their BikeMS events. For me it's personal because of family and friends afflicted by this horrible disease. Plus, I get to ride with lovely people like my fiancée extraordinaire:
And our rockstar team, Team Canterbury:
Please consider a donation to support the NMSS through BikeMS here: DONATE.
More to come later this year, and thanks again for your continued support.
Best,
JD

Go Maureen Musci! Right in the middle of Team Canterbury. ❤️
